Boss is the world leader in compact effect pedals for guitar and bass, founded in 1973, Japan. With 50 years of history, it shaped the guitar sound of numerous iconic artists. Think about John Frusciante from the Red Hot Chili Peppers (DS-1, CE-1, FZ-3), David Gilmour with Pink Floyd (CE-2, HM-2, CS-2) and Prince (VB-2, BF-2, DD-3…). Their iconic orange DS-1 distortion pedal is the most sold effect pedal worldwide with over 1.7000.000(!) units sold. Kurt Cobain’s DS-1 even got auctioned for $75.000 in 2022.

Besides the eye-catching colourful pedals, Boss became the industry standard for looping stations. Their looping stations opened a new world for buskers on the street, beatboxers and for practising at home. The most famous looping artist is without a doubt Ed Sheeran, who used a custom built looping station based on Boss’ RC-20XL.
