Introducing our Wak-a-tube range
Wak-a-tubes from Percussion Plus are bright, hollow, tuned musical tubes that are the perfect classroom instrument for teaching pitch, rhythm and playing as part of a school percussion class or group. They are a simple and inexpensive way to introduce music to young school children, allowing everyone to experience the fun of playing them in a wide variety of ways and against different surfaces to create new tones.
At Chamberlain Music we not only offer individual tubes, treble and pentatonic scales but also classroom player packs with additional percussion, convenient carry cases and stands.

About the Wak-a-tube
Made in Leicester UK, Wak-a-tubes are a leading example of quality British manufacturing. Our equivalent to the Boomwhacker made in the USA, Wakatubes are a more environmentally friendly, locally made and amazing quality alternative for schools in the UK. Each tube is cut from REACH compliant plastic and hand finished in a workshop by long standing Percussion Plus employees Paul and Steve.
Wak-a-Tube sets are packed in FSC certified cardboard packaging and shipped from a UK warehouse, ensuring that the carbon footprint is minimised as much as possible.
The Percussion Plus Orchestra
An amazing benefit of using Wak a tubes in the classroom is their compatibility with other instruments in the Percussion Plus coloured note range. This not only makes teaching simple, but also allows you to easily fill up your classroom with high quality and affordable percussion instruments for you to use in classes all year round.
The tubes are colour-coded to match the following products:

Wak range
The complete range of tubes spans a fully chromatic range of 2 octaves (from C3-C5), but it’s possible to extend this down a further octave (to C2) when the Wak-a-Tubes are used in conjunction with Wak-a-Caps. There are a number of sets available which can be combined as required:
PP790 C Major diatonic scale set 8 notes C40 to C52, lengths from 12” to 24”
PP791 Chromatic set 5 sharps and flats within the octave C40 to C52, combine with PP790 for a fully chromatic octave
PP793 Bass diatonic set Extend your PP790 diatonic set down a further octave with this 7 note set from C28 to B39, lengths from 24” to 48”
PP794 Bass chromatic set 5 sharps and flats within the octave C28 to C40, combine with PP793, PP790 and PP791 for a fully chromatic 2 octave set
PP795 C Major pentatonic scale set 6 notes C40, D42, C44, G47, A,49 and C52, a sound introduction to simple music harmony as all notes in the pentatonic scale sound great when played together!
