Introducing the Aulos 303 elite descant recorder

Descant recorders are the most well-known models in the recorder family, commonly used as first instruments in schools due to their relatively small finger spacing and easy of playing. Occupying the C” – D”” register, they are usually played as the highest voice in four-part ensembles. Descent recorders use the most common fingering system – Baroque (English) fingering.

Available in black and ivory, these descant or ‘soprano’ recorders are made from highly resilient and durable ABS plastic.

The number one choice for schools

Great for use in the classroom, as well as ensemble and solo playing, the Aulos 303 provides an excellent response with a bright and pure tone throughout the register. With a three piece design, free-blowing curved windway and the patented Aulos “cavity wall” design, the 303 is easy to play for beginners. With an improved RH little-finger tone hole, playing is also made much more comfortable and efficient.

Comes with everything you need to start playing

Arriving with a bag, fingering chart, thumb rest and cleaning rod, you are supplied with everything you need to get started with playing the recorder.

What do we think?

"A quality recorder accompanied with everything you need to get started- a thumb rest, fingering chart, cleaning rod and navy cloth bag. The fingering chart is really detailed; the diagram teaches you notes from C up to the very top D and it also has tips for how to play tricky trills. The recorder itself has good intonation and comes highly recommended by teachers and students alike."

£60 off Leicestershire Music Recorder Schemes of Work

Chamberlain Music is thrilled to bring this collaboration with Leicestershire Music, helping all schools outside of Leicestershire benefit from this amazing recorder resource. We are offering a huge 40% discount, so what would normally cost £150, is now only £90 for any school in the UK.

What are the Recorder Schemes of Work?
They are fully planned, PowerPoint-based, and video driven lessons covering a range of music curriculum outcomes and instrument skills: from how to play your first note to and basic technique, to how to read music and perform short recorder pieces. This low anxiety model of teaching doesn’t require previous experience on the instrument and, as a teacher led project, it can be delivered across your school.

Leicestershire Music offer two versions of the resource: one pitched for KS1 students and the other for KS2, so you can choose the best version for your class.

How does it work?
