Introducing the Aulos 509 Symphony treble recorder

The 509B is at the higher end of the Aulos treble recorder range and is tailored to suit the more advanced player. It is made from durable, dark brown ABS plastic and features the smart 'ivory detail' which is seen on many traditional school recorders.

The recorder has a curved wind way and a concave bell which together allow for a rich, mellifluous sound. The response is better than cheaper models and hence the player can be much more expressive.

This is simply the best plastic recorder out there. I've tried Yamaha and Dolmetsch. It's hard to describe the differences in words, but this Aulos has greater dynamic range (i. e. will play louder and softer), is easier to play on the high notes, responds better to my attempts at vibrato, and clogs less (i. e. the problem of humidity accumulating in the windway, or hole you blow down, is reduced compared to other designs). Plastic recorders are already incredibly cheap - choose the best amongst them, which is this model.

great instrument, the Symphony series has a woody sound, very clear, very natural, strong instrument for professional sound
