Introducing the Admira Alba classical guitar
The Admira Alba is one of our most popular beginner instruments. It is a guitar which manages to capture the flavour of being spanish-made, whilst being produced under strict supervision in the far east. This, of course, gives it great overall value and consequently has great appeal to students (and parents!). This particular model is the 1/2 size version which makes it suitable for those aged between about 5-8 years.
Great design
The overall design is the first thing you notice. It looks the part, very Spanish and certainly a nice change from some of the bright colours available on other makes. The instrument is produced from good quality wood, laminated pine for the top with back and sides made from Sapelli. This gives it a good overall sound quality, although its size does inhibit the tone a little as you would expect. The Rosewood fingerboard means that beginners will find it easy and smooth as they progress through either chord changes or single line melodies. Its size then ensures that it is light and easy to hold for the younger player.
Ideal for beginner guitarists
This half size model is for the smaller player, the manufacturer states ages between about 5 and 8 years, although it really is worth popping in if you can to try it for size. It is a lovely student guitar, and although there are cheaper alternatives - the Octopus or Jose Ferrer models being a couple of examples, the overall build quality is such that it makes a compelling case for itself.
