Each song is brought to life with authentic instrumentation and expressive backings. Colourful illustrations show instruments and players for each era. Some of these tunes are amongst the most ancient to have survived and each is accurately dated. Modern lyrics have been added to help you “feel” the music as well as understand the times in which they are set.

The student book includes 21 tunes with fingercharts, notation, words, and guitar chords.
The 12 4-hole ocarinas are made of hard wearing plastic and are supplied in a range of fun colours, all in a handy presentation box. They are easy to clean - simply apply anti-bac spray and wipe with a dry cloth.
There’s also a handy Teacher Book & CD available (sold separately). This book supports teachers, providing them with composing and improvising projects, along with tips, ideas, and lessons that are suitable for the whole class.

These ocarinas are accessible, and they produce a wonderfully clear and gentle sound, allowing everyone to express their musical creativity. Simplicity aids creativity, and with a limited number of holes to cover, pre-school children and pupils with the use of only one hand can play specially adapted 4-hole music on the one-handed ocarinas. Students who may struggle to read music can read and follow the ocarina tablature.
