Introducing the Stentor Student I cello outfit
The Stentor Student I cello is a beautifully made beginner instrument. Unlike many other student cellos on the market, this instrument is hand carved using only solid tonewoods and natural glues to produce the best possible quality of sound for students on a budget. The top is laminated and paired with hardwood fingerboard and pegs, which offers a reliable, consistent performance and good tone, enhancing the learning process for students. Finally, the body has been coated in an amber brown varnish for a sleek finish.
Also included is a composite metal tailpiece with integral adjusters for fine tuning, and inlaid purfling to the top and bottom of the instrument. Purfling (strips of wood inlaid to the top and bottom plates of the cello) is not only decorative, but also means that a crack in edge of a plate will not spread, or a crack in the front can be glued without removing the plate entirely.
The Student I cello comes as a complete outfit with Brazilwood bow (with ebony frog and natural white horse hair) and a padded blue and grey nylon case with safety reflectors, accessory pockets and rosin. Shoulder straps are also provided, making it even easier to transport the cello to and from lessons or orchestral practices.
We recommend that this cello would see a beginner through to the middle grades.
