Introducing the Casio CT-X700 portable keyboard
The revolutionary CT-X700 features new acoustic intelligent expression (AiX) sound technology, which was developed for the CT-X range to make sounds and styles more expressive than ever before. This dynamic keyboard has 600 instrument tones, over 190 styles, 48-voice polyphony, 310 music presets, 100 types of arpeggio and 160 pre-installed songs. The AiX Sound Source can also produce a wide range of sound qualities from powerful bass tones to clear high tones.
It has a MIDI recorder, 3.5mm audio input, sustain pedal connector, a backlit LCD-screen which conveniently and clearly displays information, and a USB port for easy connection to a computer, where you can have up to 10 tracks saved to the keyboard. Plus, the audio input and USB connectors make it easy to connect to your smartphone, so you can watch the free online lessons as you play. For those who want to practise their favourite songs, the keyboard can be used as a playback device by connecting an audio player or CD player.
You can register detailed setups for your favourite tones, rhythms and tempos all in one go, and load them instantly when you need them, or change your settings mid-performance. You can capture your music with the 6 track song recorder, or explore new drum kits with the rhythm editor. And, being battery operated with a portable design, you can bring the CT-X700 with you wherever you go, so you never miss a moment of inspiration.
Great for beginners
It’s a great keyboard for students and beginners who want to learn, thanks to the practice function, which lets you practice each hand, then both together. Auto-accompaniment, such as drums and bass, plays when a chord is played, so beginners can feel as if they are part of a band or orchestra. And you can automatically play arpeggios and phrases just by pressing keys.
The keyboard also includes a handy chord dictionary. Simply select a chord name and the LCD monitor will show what notes make it up and how to play it on the keyboard. Plus, the CT-X700 will let you hear what the chord sounds like before you play.
The CT-X700's headphone connector for silent practice, energy saving due to automatic power-off and built-in lessons are also great features for younger players.
Creates amazing sound
The LSI's impressive, high-performance computing power means it is able reproduce the natural feel of acoustic instruments, such as the change in tone when a piano key is pressed, the sensation of a drum being struck, or strings being plucked.
The high-speed digital signal processor is also added to each sound type, such as melody, backing drum, bass, and organ, which provides distinct sound to each instrument for an expressive and immersive performance. There's even an auto harmonise feature, which adds harmony to any melody played, making it easy to hold performances like a professional musician.
Responsive feeling
The keyboard features 61 touch sensitive piano keys with sound levels that vary depending on the strength used to press them, providing players with a realistic piano playing experience.
Lessons included
The CT-X700 comes with many lessons to teach players how to play classic songs, as well as techniques and playing exercises to help them improve. Step up lessons are short, easy to remember musical phrases that can be learned one bit after the next until the whole song is mastered. Grading shows up on the LCD screen to give players an idea on how they performed, and voice instructions will give the player a prompt on what key is next if they get stuck.
