The JP043 is an affordable, great quality student Bb soprano saxophone that features two crooks, one curved and one straight, offering players a choice of angle to increase comfort. It also has an underslung octave mechanism that improves the instrument’s reliability, and rust resistant blue steel springs with better tension memory.
It’s got Italian leather pads, which last longer than conventional pads and create a great seal that translates into a fuller sound, as well as resonator pads, which improve projection and give the tone more depth.
There’s an adjustable thumb rest, which allows for a more natural and comfortable hand position to be achieved, and a sling ring that makes the instrument even lighter when using the provided sling. The appearance of the JP043 has even been enhanced with engraving, abalone pearls and a range of modern finishes.

This straight bodied saxophone is ideal for both beginners and existing players looking for a second instrument. It’s designed to take players through the lower grades and provide an introduction to saxophone playing. It features front F, high F# and high G keys and a floating plate design for the little finger cluster, which aids faster movement once players have become more proficient, helping to improve a student’s playing until they are ready to advance.
