The K&M 100.1 series of music stands are considered to be the industry standard folding stand. Yes there are cheaper models, but they are simply not as good or solid as this model.

The stand is made entirely from quality metal. It has molded, thick plastic adjusters which are easy to turn which makes the stand ideal for younger students.

The folding joints of this stand are held together with quality rivets which ensure a smooth even movement and great overall longevity.

Working from the bottom upwards the stand has three, metal legs which when unfolded click reassuringly into place. It then has a telescopic design which, in three pieces, makes the stand height adjustable from 65cm at the lowest point to 122.5cm at the highest.

The music desk can be angled any which way and has metal pieces to hold sheet music in place - perfect for those outdoor concerts which all players take part in at some point!

The stand itself seems fine, but the way the legs are attached to the stem looks really flimsy and they only allow the legs to fit an one angle which has the legs very spread out, so you can't make any adjustments for the space you are in. There are chealer stands that would probably do a better job.
