Introducing the Yamaha Pacifica 112VM 4/4 electric guitar
The Pacifica 112V is one of the UK’s best selling electric guitars, due to its superb quality, brilliant playability and classic tone. Yamaha then created the Pacifica 112VM for players looking for an identical guitar to the original 112V with all the same great features, but to feature a maple fingerboard for a much stronger attack.
Powerful sound
Alnico V magnets are used for both single coil and humbucker to deliver a clear strumming tone with good projection plus a tight sound that doesn't get buried in the ensemble. The coil-tap function on the rear humbucker delivers a wide range of tonal possibilities, from hard distortion to an edgy single coil tone. A switch in the tone knob allows quick switching between humbucker and single coil tone.
The block saddle type vintage tremolo offers excellent operation and a rich sustain and deep tone. Like the flagship Pacifica models, the rear pickup is mounted directly to the body. This configuration captures body resonance, delivering greater dynamic tone rather than pickguard mounting.

The combination of a maple neck and alder body bestows a superbly resonant and balanced tone, distinguished by its brightness that outshines other hardwood alternatives. The use of the maple fingerboard, makes this an ideal model for those looking for a guitar with a strong, sharp attack.
112J vs 112V - what's the difference?
The 112V features higher quality pickups for better sound production, whereas the 112J comes in at a lower price point with standard quality pickups.
