Introducing the Percussion Play cyclone wheel
This cyclone wheel is a creatively designed percussion instrument, brilliant for outdoor installations in parks and playgrounds. It can be spun to create a variety of rain sounds, from a gentle pitter-patter through a heavy rain shower to a full-on monsoon!
Spinning the wheel will set the ball bearings inside the wheel into motion to mimic the sound of falling rain, and players can control the intensity of the rain sounds by how hard they spin the wheel, demonstrating the concept of cause and effect and encouraging gross motor skills.
Great for outdoor use
Mounted on a sturdy stainless steel frame either fixed to the ground or mounted to a wall, the Cyclone comprises two HDPE panels embellished with thunderbolt aluminum inserts, all of which helps to make it a robust instrument, optimised for installation in playgrounds and parks. Standing at 120cm tall, it’ll certainly make an impression, wherever you choose to put it!

Surface mounted vs Ground install
There are two ways to install this Percussion Play product:
Surface mounted
The leg is attached to a base plate, which is then fixed into the ground using anchors. This provides a brilliant level of stability, whilst making it possible to move the product around with relative ease.
Ground install
The leg is directly embedded into the ground, providing excellent, long-lasting stability. However, once placed, the instrument will be very hard to move - perfect for permanent installations.
