The RATstands Jazz Stand is a professional quality music stand, with industry standard stability and a full-size music tray. The stand’s unique design allows for it to be unfolded in three simple steps, from a flat pack no bigger than the size of the tray. It does this with no knobs, no finger traps, and no hassle, making this the ultimate travelling stand for individual musicians, touring groups, and orchestras.
The Jazz Stand utilises the RATstands friction system, meaning there are no screws or levers to adjust. Friction locks will automatically hold the tray at the desired height and angle. The tray can hold up to 2.5kg of sheet music.
This stand can be folded completely flat and to the size of the tray in 3 simple steps. Weighing only 2.7kg the Jazz Stand is lightweight and can be easily transported. The folded stands interlock and can be stacked neatly. A range of gig bags and trolleys are available.
The injection moulded tray is virtually unbreakable and will spring back if bent. The die-cast aluminium legs give enormous strength and stability. Rubber feet preserve the floor from damage.

Easy to assemble and disassemble and folds up nicely so I can store it under my bed. I've used it every day since it arrived. And it's strong enough to work with an iPad which my previous music stand wasn't.

Easy stands to stack and store, very robust, fully adjustable and stable when using.
Fantastic one piece design ... I especially like base/feet which slide under my music room couch and the telescopic feature allows playing guitar while sitting on the couch ... no tripod base to trip over ... no knobs to turn to lower the music height and no big heavy (metal) sheet music tray/platform to worry about accidentally colliding with your instrument ... everything is simply better by design!
RAT stands are the best quality stands available and this new version is a bit lighter. Portable but strong and stable enough to use outside.
We'd seen one of these stands and knew what good quality it was.

Definately a great purchase. Used it twice now and the difference of music reading and solid music stand is brilliant.
It is sturdy in design, but light carry and easy to put up and does come with instructions. I think it it pricey compared to other stands but it holds music at full extension as easily as at lowest position (no waving around!). This and it's portability is why I bought it.
I was intrigued by the engineering of this stand, but, after a YouTube search, slightly wary of the platform's ability to remain at the right angle when "overladen". This fear was unfounded: I can't believe that this will be an issue in any normal use. Well designed and built. If I'm very critical, I would have preferred it lighter and more easy to carry.
Excellent quality and so easy to erect, fold up, and carry. Having trashed two cheaper and less robust music stands, I believe this will prove more economical in the long term.
The stand was purchased as a gift and so this review is for the service we received. There was a slight problem with the stand when it arrived but this was dealt with very swiftly and efficiently. Excellent service
I been around the brass band scene for more years than I would like to admit and have used many many stands and although this one may not be the type that is used by any of the brass bands I have played with over the years it certainly is the best in design and quality build I have ever used. Amazing in every way really!

Excellent design- when on a tiered stage it is very useful to be able to place the stand feet forward on the tier below.
Great music stand. Dreadful experience due to rotten service from YODEL, the courier that Chamberlain used for delivery. This was ordered on May 1st and delivered May 9th. Yodel's website promised delivery in 72 hours and had no delivery estimates?. I redirected it to another address for today and that was acknowledged. It was delivered to the original address today without being signed for. I would not recommend anyone to buy it they stick with Yodel.

Very pleased with my Rat stand. Easy and quick to set up. Most importantly for me is that it is compact , fits in bag and no sharp edges to attack body parts in transit !
Not quite as robust as the original Jazz Stand, but it is more adjustabe, more repairable and is still the best portable music stand in the world.
Dissappointed with the build quality of the stand, there was no allen key included and the RAT badge in the desc centre fell off almost immediately. Also, paint had chipped away from the left side of the hinge connecting desk top to the support stem. Not impressed considering the cost.

Everything you need in a music stand. No downside, especially with the carry-bag, what's not to like?
Brilliant service, excellent product.
I bought this as a permanent stand for home use so don't intend to carry it around. It is certainly not as portable as a traditional fold up metal stand bag or no bag. Do not expect to use magnets to secure music in a draughty area - its back to the clothes pegs I'm afraid. Good for heavy duty use and permanent use, not for busking!

Just wanted to record my appreciation and thanks to everyone for there help and advice on what is a very smart piece of kit indeed. Innovative and functional. Once you have one of these there is no going back. The only problem is my friends and family are more interested in the stand than hearing me play.

Tray has larger area than on original version. As mentioned in another review, action is smoother in operation when folding / unfolding. Not the cheapest music stand you can buy but it is undoubtedly the best.
Excellent and speedy service. The new version of the RAT stand (Jazz) is much better than the original. The shelves are broader now which makes using thicker folder better. The actual mechanics of unfolding and re-folding it is much smoother and easier. Altogether a great buy.
