Hardware consists of an attractive, shaped techwood bridge with a white ABS saddle, white ABS nut, accurate chrome die cast machine heads, and light gauge bronze strings. The finished product is a guitar with amazing playability that has a sound that any musician, professional or beginner, can appreciate.
Built from mahogany wood
Mahogany is highly favoured in the acoustic guitar world due to its tonal qualities, durability, and attractive grain pattern. This versatile timber is also relatively economical. When selected as a top wood, mahogany offers a natural compression, creating strong fundamentals with a clear and direct focus. Used as back and side panels, the tonewood provides a punchy mid-range with woody tones, plenty of depth, and complexity that will accommodate most playing styles.
The Crossroads concept
Master Scandinavian designer and luthier Michael Sanden hand-selected the finest mahogany to craft the Tanglewood Crossroads series of acoustic guitars. Inspired by the understated, simple design of instruments during the 1930’s era in America, where the selection of the highest quality tonewoods was fundamental. The resulting guitars were deep and rich in tone, whilst also remaining affordable.
