Introducing the Yamaha C2 grand piano in polished mahogany c.2001
At 5'8 in length, (173cm) and described by some as a boudoir grand piano, the speaking string length and soundboard area of the Yamaha C2 gives it a significant tonal advantage over the smaller C1. Just a few inches smaller than the industry defining C3, the C2 is a popular choice for both the home and smaller performance space - compact enough to fit yet producing a remarkably powerful and resonant tone.
This example was manufactured in c.2001 with just one private owner from new. The piano has been kept under a cover, and unusually for a piano in a wood veneer finish has sustained very little by way of fading or sun bleaching. The mahogany veneer is in wonderful condition, with brass fittings and a soft-close fallboard completing its elegant styling.
The piano is an example of the highly regarded C2L, a generation produced between 1998 and 2008, renowned for its richness of tone and quality of touch. Featuring a solid soundboard, full sostenuto pedal and a soft-closing fallboard, the C2L is an elegant and refined piano which will satisfy the demands of amateur and professional pianists alike.
