Introducing the Yamaha MP70N upright piano c.1997
First and foremost a great quality compact upright piano, the MP70N is identical in specification to the popular Yamaha P110N, however features a factory fitted Silent system instead of a celeste pedal. Combining acoustic and digital piano technologies, this enables private practice with headphones, along with MIDI connectivity and audio outputs, making the piano a convenient practice tool and also a great choice of compact upright for the home. While technology has moved on somewhat, the built in piano sample is remarkably good, the silent system operates correctly and plays evenly.
As an acoustic piano our Yamaha MP70N c.1997 is in superb condition, it plays responsively with a clear and pleasant tone, well suited to the beginner and intermediate pianist. The Yamaha P110 was made here in the UK alongside the Kemble Cambridge 10, and benefits from a solid European spruce soundboard for a warm and rich tonality, along with a cabinet expertly covered with locally sourced wood veneer. Speaking of which, the cabinetry is free of any fading or sun damage, and its attractive open pore dark walnut veneer finish is in excellent condition.
The piano is freshly serviced and polished by our technical team, and is now on display and ready for selection, and worth comparing against a new Yamaha b1 and Kawai K15.
