The Yamaha YAH203 is an ideal tenor horn for students and more advanced orchestral players. It shares many of its tonal characteristics and design details with the top model horns, which allows it to produce a well-projected and expressive sound. It’s also extremely easy to play, and offers an excellent response and reliable intonation.

It’s pitched in Eb, and features a ML 11.73mm bore, which the air vibrates through to create a rich sound. It also has three nickel plated top spring valves that offer minimal resistance, helping the player to produce a clear, warm tone.

This instrument is made out of high-quality brass, so if you are looking for a durable and consistent instrument, then this is the tenor horn for you.

The YAH203 has honed valves, meaning there’s no air leakage, and it has pressure formed tubing, which results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance. It’s also got laser-fused pluzuma welded brass for a virtually seamless bell, which results in continuous, even vibrations.
