Introducing the Yamaha C2X grand piano

At 5'8 in length and described by some as a boudoir grand piano, the speaking string length and soundboard area of the Yamaha C2 gives it a significant tonal advantage over the smaller C1. Yamaha's 2013 redesign to create the CX range of C series pianos has added enormously to the potential of this instrument too.

The new soundboard design with thickened back frame and the new strings have created a much more resonant piano, as they have right across the new C range. The piano is available in polished ebony along with satin ebony, polished walnut, polished mahogany and polished white.

Hammers based on those of the CFX Series

Yamaha, unlike most other piano manufacturers, produces most of its own high-quality components and the hammers used in the CX Series utilize the same felt as the CFX, giving these pianos bright tonal colours and finely nuanced sound.
