Student trumpets
When starting out on a new instrument, it’s vital to find the perfect starting point that will support you throughout your early stages of playing. Our range includes student trumpets that are perfect for beginners and great additions to school music departments, all good quality at an affordable price.
Examples of student trumpets include the JP Instruments JP051 student Bb trumpet outfit, which has a medium-large bore configuration that provides the ideal resistance for younger players, and a rose brass lead pipe that easily delivers great tone and encourages the right technique. There is also the Elkhart 100TR student Bb trumpet outfit, which is extra sturdy with cupronickel slides that extend the lifetime of the instrument so as to prevent corrosion, and also comes with a lightweight, back-pack style case so it can be carried from lesson to practice with ease. pTrumpets

About the trumpet
The trumpet is the highest pitched instrument in the brass family. It is also amongst the oldest, with early examples dating back to at least 1500BC. There are several types of trumpet and the most commonly encountered is the Bb transposing version. Modern instruments generally have 3 piston valves. Each valve increases the length of tubing when engaged, thus lowering the pitch.
