Provide a steady beat as part of a percussion ensemble, teach and perform more complex rhythms, or allow kids to experiment by creating fun new rhythm patterns with their classmates.

The gathering drum is a large, floor standing drum and can generally be played by a group of up to four people. The gathering drum has taken its name from the large drumhead which allows the players to ‘gather’ around the drum. It is used in cultures around the world for: ceremonies, bringing people together along with signalling for crowd interaction and dancing! 

The Percussion Plus Slap Gathering Drum is our most popular gathering drum for schools – it is affordable, great quality, and comes with a handy ‘how to play’ guide printed on the drum skin. This is a great introduction to rhythmic interactive music making for children and adults alike.

The REMO Kids gathering drum is available in three sizes and like the Percussion Plus gathering drums, is supplied with beaters and can be played with either hands or beaters.

The Percussion Plus gathering drum also has foldable legs to extend the height of the drum and allow for even more tonal projection. It is also supplied with a carry and storage case.
