Here at Chamberlain Music, we provide an impressive range of djembes and djembe packs for education. The djembe (pronounced 'jem-bay) is an instrument of African origin. Djembes are often played in drumming circles with other djembes and often alongside bass drums and other samba percussion as well! Along with uses in schools and therapy settings, the djembe has risen in popularity and has featured in many festivals over recent years.

Slap Percussion djembe packs
The Percussion Plus Slap Djembes were first introduced in 2020 and feature an innovative printed drumhead graphic. The head suggests where the user should strike the drumhead for the desired tone. These djembes are absolutely perfect for use in schools and we also have Andy Gleadhill's Slap Djembe book which offers an exciting 10 week lesson plan developed specifically for KS2 & KS3 pupils.
With three styles of djembes (pre-tuned, rope tuned & mechanically tuned) and a range of sizes (form 6’’ – 12’’). The Slap Djembes are available to purchase individually or in packs, from 3 – 15 players. These packs offer schools the easiest and most cost-effective way to buy multiple djembes.
World Slap Djembe packs

Percussion Plus Ghanaian djembe pack
These djembes are hand carved from solid chunky African cedar wood and we offer packs for up to 20 players! Each pack includes djembes with head diameters of 7", 9", 11", and 13" ensuring there is a drum for range of player sizes. The Percussion Plus Ghanaian djembes also include a rope handle for easy transportation.
Percussion workshop djembe packs
Percussion Workshop have a couple of different djembe packs available to purchase. The Percussion Workshop djembe pack include djembes that are handcrafted from sustainable mahogany and feature a natural goatskin head. The Percussion Workshop Jammer Series djembe pack feature 100% synthetic heads and shells, these are incredibly durable. This also means these djembes are very light and are easy to carry. Take them out on the field, perform at a festival, or even play on a mountain!
We also stock both Toca and Meinl djembes. The Toca nesting djembe set offer a handy storage solution and feature pop-off heads! The Meinl also offer djembes with removable heads, these conveniently stack one inside the other, Russian doll style! This makes them brilliantly easy to store, taking up much less space and means they can be moved easily too.
