Introducing our range of shakers
From manufacturers including Halilit, LP Percussion, Meinl, Percussion Plus, and Stagg, we have a huge selection of shakers with great options for early years, educational and home use. All our shakers can be used to teach rhythm and allow young children and students to have fun while playing music.
We have plenty of options to choose from that are used in lots of different types of music including African, Latin American and South American styles. Shakers can be played by anyone and make a great addition to any school percussion kit, music ensemble, group, or orchestra.
From individual maracas to entire packs of shakers for classroom use, you can be sure to find something that will work for you and be a fun addition to your classroom.
Great options for early years education
Halilit produce instruments that are brightly coloured, easy to use and great for early years education. Our range includes the MP466 baby maraca, the MP390 fish shaker and the MP102 rainboshaker, all of which are easy and safe for toddlers and young students to use and play with.
Some of our early years shakers include textured grip for small hands and fun brightly coloured instruments to choose from. The musical toys such as these ones help to develop motor skills, creativity and hand-eye co-ordination, making them a great gift idea to introduce young children to the sensory world of music making.
Our honestly made range
All of our Honestly Made products have been manufactured in independent family workshops that are too small to join fairtrade groups or are located in countries that do not have such organisations. As well as creating fun instruments with aesthetic designs, the methods used to collect the materials and create the products are ethical and do not damage the environment.
We have many Honestly Made shakers which have been made using traditional methods. As well as individual instruments, we also provide shaker kits such as the PP2092, PP2090 and the PP2089 which all have a great selection of instruments that have been made from sustainably sourced materials. These are all great options for schools and the included practice guide can help to gain a further understanding about each instrument and different playing techniques.
Percussion Plus
We offer a large range of quality, affordable egg shakers from Percussion Plus. There small packs which are great for home use as well as large tubs that contain 40 brightly coloured and fun shakers, perfect for the classroom.
We also have lots of fun options and designs for young children, such as our Percussion Plus fruit shakers. Choose from either an apple, pear, lemon, banana, or orange!
