Tenor ukuleles are a size larger than concert size ukuleles, and the extra length in the neck allows for wider spacing between frets, and it has great projection for volume as well as a deeper sound than the concert. Its most common tuning is G / C / E / A.
At Chamberlain Music, we supply tenor ukuleles from Octopus Ukulele as we trust their quality, consistency and tone. They are great to play as part of a ukulele club, for solo playing, or to accompany a singer.
Octopus Academy tenor ukuleles
The Octopus Academy tenor ukulele has a classical guitar style walnut bridge and features an Agathis top, back and sides. The large body creates a full sound, and with 18 frets it has a range between C4 and Eb6. The tuning pegs are geared like a guitar’s pegs, meaning the strings are easier to tighten and hold their pitch for longer. Should you want a padded gig bag to help protect our tenor ukulele, they are also available on our website in either fine hessian or dark brown suede effect fabrics.
