This Universal Timpani is a very light and easy to operate instrument with a perfect sound and pitch quality that is perfect for concert and education use. The pedal can be retained in any desired position, and the multi-adjustable supporting legs retract completely into the bowl, allowing a set of timpani to be easily stored or transported.
Featuring a European Style block pedal system, also known as clutch and post, this instrument allows for smooth, precise pedal action regardless of head tension, while the locking pedal action secures each pitch in place. Adams Remo Renaissance Heads (Hazy with Aluminium Insert Rings) offer outstanding expression with stable pitch and excellent durability, and Adams Parabolic Fibre kettles are a synthetic option that are lightweight and have an excellent sound.
