The cello is constructed from carefully selected spruce and maple tone woods, which have been hand carved to produce a seamless body with remarkable tonal qualities. An inlaid purfling design is featured on the instruments edges, giving the cello a professional and classic appearance whilst protecting the body of the cello from minor bumps and marks. These cellos are manufactured in China and set up for play right at the factory. For those seeking an even higher standard of performance, we offer an enhanced luthier setup at our workshops in the UK for an additional fee of £75. If you would like you cello to receive this setup, simply select the option on the basket page!
This premium service includes precise adjustments to the pegs, top and bottom nut, bridge, and sound post, and may also involve fine-tuning the fingerboard. Opting for our full UK setup ensures your cello arrives in optimal playing condition, as each instrument undergoes rigorous testing and inspection by one of our skilled technicians before shipping.
Please note that cellos are typically shipped with the strings slightly loosened and hence require tuning upon arrival.
